Excellent colours and a pristine sky; this is very well composed.
I've never seen them on your pictures before, but on this image you're getting artefacts from JPEG compression along the top of the promontory and the man's hat; have you changed your setting to a lower compression standard? It still looks great, but it might not have been intentional :) Alastair @ August 5th, 2005
Yeah, I love the composition of this too. I think landscapes invariably work better when there's a human element giving scale, and this is a great example of that. The warm light is great too. CurlyToes @ August 5th, 2005
I saw that too. This is from an old Kodak DC4800 camera, so it wasn't great quality to begin with. I do 80% JPEG on all the photos, so nothing has changed there. I think it's a lot of small detail right next to a flat sky that is causing it! I'd post PNG's but they might take a while to download for some :) novon @ August 5th, 2005
Ah well, it doesn't detract from its being a great image! Alastair @ August 5th, 2005
i agree that the human element really makes shots like this work. the colors remind me of a long exposure night shot. very cool. zac @ August 5th, 2005
